‘Boogie Nights’ - Changing Room Scene
You wouldn’t think a major motion picture about an explicit video star could garner high critical acclaim, but filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson has proven again and again his mastery of the art. In 1997’s Boogie Nights, he chronicled the rise and fall of porn star Dirk Diggler. For much of the film, we’re teased to the size of Diggler’s, ahem, member, and it isn’t until the end where we finally see it (albeit, the prosthetic that was used) front and center, leading to many-a paused tapes and DVDs.
