‘Thor: The Dark World’ - Chalkboard Scene

If there was a “most paused movie franchise,” it’s safe to say it would be the Marvel Studios films. And not because we’re up to 20-plus movies, but because Easter eggs are abound in many of the films, and fans clamor to find each and every hint and secret message. One of the most paused scenes in the franchise comes in one of the studio’s least popular films, Thor: The Dark World. The scene in question is when a seemingly mad Dr. Selvig has scribbled gibberish all over a chalkboard in the mental health facility he’s been taken. The scribbles are actually real mathematical and astronomical equations and theories, and even contains the name of a place called Nidavellir, which plays a key role in Avengers: Infinity War.
